Who are you and how would you describe what you do?

My name is Kiki and I am an artist, dancer/performer, tarot reader and energy healer! Something I have been developing over the last few years is portrait photography with a healing aspect and it’s been so fun exploring that medium. Most everything I do involves a healing and transformational aspect- that’s why I’m here. All my work pertaining to my business can be found on my website: www.opulentwitch.com

How did you get started?

I’ve been making art and dancing since I was little, and I’ve always been a psychic witch, now I’m just more out about it!

What do you like about what you do?

I love creating and it’s an integral part of what brings me joy! I love connecting to my own divinity and watching others connect to theirs. One of my most favorite things is the feeling right after doing a powerful reading or a session for someone- I get super jazzed up!

What is most challenging about what you do?

Balancing the business aspect with the creative and intuitive side. I’m currently taking a business class geared towards healers to up my business lady skills. I saw this meme once of Cosmic Jesus that said “When you’re tripping out in another dimension but you have to write work emails” - I fully relate to that meme.

What education, schooling, or skills are needed to do this?

To create art and to be a psychic medium/ witch there really isn’t any school required! Although I went through a series of trainings and initiations to develop tools around psychic boundaries and further my skill set. I am currently in the Healing Practitioner’s program at the School of Traditional Magic, which I highly recommend to anyone interested in exploring and honing their craft.

What advice would you offer someone considering this career?

Be true to your uniqueness and get clear about your intentions and mission within your craft- it’s helpful to get in alignment with that especially when you are feeling bogged down in the practical earthly realm aspects and day-to-day. Create from the expression of your soul and know what your time and energy is worth, as in don’t be afraid to get paid for your work- boundaries are beautiful!
